Cama’i! Welcome!
The Spruce Island Development Corporation (SIDCO) was formed in 2004 as a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation to serve the Alaska Native people of the Kodiak Borough, including the City of Ouzinkie and the village of Ouzinkie. SIDCO is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors representing the Tribe, City, and SIDCO.
"At SIDCO, we believe that
healthy communities begin
with thriving individuals."
We are deeply committed to fostering a more vibrant future for the life in the village of Ouzinkie by creating opportunities for growth in culture, health, and education. Through strategic infrastructure development and the Community Connectivity Center, we’re helping build a healthier, more resilient future, one person, one program, and one connection at a time.
SIDCO Alaska is a 501 (c) 3 Nonprofit Corporation
and a community development partnership.
"The Mission of Spruce Island Development Corporation is to strengthen the village of Ouzinkie by Preserving the Alutiiq/Sugpiaq Heritage, Developing Community Infrastructure, and Improving Economic Opportunity."
